Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
First, I want to praise God for His kindness and faithfulness. Also, I want to give thanks to the many precious saints who have been praying for my grandmother, Mimi for these many months (and some, even for several years).
I received a phone call from my family to tell me that Mimi passed away this weekend. It seems that for the last months that her quality of life was quite low. I was told the she died quietly with no apparent pain.
The funeral will be in Covington, LA, Mimi's hometown. Here are the details as I know them (updated).
Wednesday, Oct 14 (Covington, LA)
Visitation (E.J. Fielding Funeral Home): 10:30 - 1:00
Service (Christ Episcopal Church): 1:30 -
Interment (Covington City Cemetery)
After much discussion, I agreed to remain here in Japan so there would be no delaying the funeral.
Please pray for my family, especially my dad who has just lost a mother. Please pray that they would recieve God's comfort and that they could trust in God's goodness and holiness even in this time of sorrow.
