Tsuyoshi and Sayaka

(Photo: Myself with the new couple Tsuyoshi & Sayaka) Tsuyoshi and Sayaka, two wonderful Christian friends, were married today. The wedding and reception was all done in a really interesting restaurant in Nara (since Tsuyoshi is an architect, I was not surprised that they would pick such a great location).

Kenichi Ogata helped perform the ceremony; it was great to see him again. Since the restaurant staff took care of most of the work, it was a really relaxing wedding and gave us all time to fellowship and enjoy each other's company; it was a welcomed change of atmosphere to our normal volunteer-run weddings.

Congratulations, Tsuyoshi and Sayaka!

"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. - Eph 5:31-33
