Happy Easter Sunday. What a wonderful weekend it has been!
Friday we celebrated the Lord's Supper. For many of us it had extra meaning because the night before we participated in a reenactment of a Jewish Passover Seder (ritual dinner on the first night of Passover). It was interesting to see how many parts of the Seder are reminders of the Exodus of Jewish slaves from Egypt but how they also show how Jesus freed us from the slavery of sin and into eternal life.
Also this week, it was a real encouragement to have ten of the crew from Doulos ship visiting us. They are all here as preparation crew for the ship’s arrival in Japan during May and June. I will post more details about that later. Anyway, it was so refreshing to talk with these people each with a heart to serve God and be ministers of hope to the world. To the Doulos crew, Lord bless you. We’ll be praying for you!
And to everyone, I hope that you have a very special Easter Sunday.
